What are the biggest organizational vulnerabilities that happen when you don't train directors?

Great question. Directors in orgs without training end up with skills gaps which can lead to poor decision making, an inability to turn strategic priorities into strong execution and friction between departments. This impedes progress towards business goals. Over time, senior leaders spend more and more time with these directors, taking them away from important strategic priorities.

Eventually, struggling directors leave the org. Their departure causes a loss of productivity, impacts morale and trust in the company, and can trigger other departures. There are hard costs too. It's estimated to cost orgs up to 2x the person's salary to replace -- far more expensive than a solid development program costs.
